MULCH
Dark Blend
One of our most popular! This is a naturally aged, dark mulch. It is a blend of pine bark and forestry grindings. Perfect for the gardener or landscaper who wants a dark mulch base without an added colorant. Double ground for fine, consistent texture.
Rustic Red
Made of freshly ground pine with some forestry mix, Rustic Red is color enhanced and double ground.
Pine Brown
This mulch is a natural pine bark color of medium brown and is NOT color enhanced. It is made of pine bark and double ground to produce a rich color, and fine texture.
Carbon Black
This mulch is our dark blend mulch that is finely ground and color enhanced for a VERY dark color. Our grind process produces a fine textured product for consistent color that lasts longer through the season.

Wood Chips
Our pine wood chips from our sawmill and are screened to a uniform size of about 3/4". Light yellow in the beginning of the season, they age to a gray color over time. Excellent natural ground cover for recreational areas.

Mill Bark
This rough bark is one of a kind. Use on landscapes where a varied, coarse, texture is wanted. An economical ground cover that can help control erosion. This is our original bark mulch!

Compost
Our compost has ground leaves, grass and brush that is aged for 1+ year and maintained to provide proper air circulation and aging. It is screened into a fine texture. We can provide you with a nutrient analysis sheet so you know the nitrogen, carbon & PH levels of our compost. Let our compost help you get your garden off to an optimal start for the growing season.

Call for deliveries outside the above locations. Delivery prices vary depending on distance and truck size.
To ensure proper delivery, our policy is that purhaser/homeowner must be present at drop off location
when we make a delivery.
What is Different About
Oakwoods Lumber's Mulch?
We make all our own mulches right here at our North Berwick Facility.
We don't buy in premade mulch.
Our products are double and triple ground so texture and color is the same each time. Oakwoods’ colored enhanced mulches don’t look “painted” like other mulches. The technique we use helps the color penetrate the mulch so that it is absorbed into the wood and not just on the surface. Because of our grinding process, our mulch typically retains moisture and color longer than a courser ground mulch. Most of our mulch is easy to hand apply or to use through a commercial mulch applicator. Demolition materials are never
used. At our mulch facility, you can talk directly with those who craft the mulch and they can answer any further questions you have.
Oakwoods Lumber, Inc. has been in the mulch/grinding business for over 15 years. We are big enough to provide tractor trailer loads of mulch, but small enough to attend to the details of grinding our products in a consistent way, to provide superior grinds and consistant colors. Homeowners, landscapers and select retail mulch companies buy our products for our exceptional mulch quality.
GRINDING SERVICE
We can come to your business or municipality and grind mulch and compost materials.
We have 2 tub grinders with multiple size screens and loaders to help you turn your product into a quality compost or mulch.
Have no place to get rid of brush or limbs fromyour yard?
We take brush, woodchunks & tree limbs. We do not have a tipping charge to bring these items to us. We do ask that it be "clean" wood. No metal, such as nails, no rocks, no painted wood or pressure treated products. No stumps. No Demolition, NO TRASH!
We ask that you use our business hours to dump brush and wood. Our yard is monitored.
